For those who are open to God, but in an imperfect way, the road towards the full beatitude requires a purification, which the faith of the Church illustrates through the doctrine of “Purgatory” (cfr Cathechism of the Catholic Church, 1030-1032).

Folks, the word was, all over Garabandal this May 13th of this year, amongst the few praying faithful that still live in the town (most of the men do NOT got to Mass), that the Miracle will be in April, 2000. I would say that next to none of the local praying folk believed that the miracle was going to be this year (neither did I). But if you ask around at Mary Loli's family's hotel/restaurant (where many pilgrims/faithful hang out when not praying or at Mass), you'll find that they're looking at 2000. That's what they were saying this May 13 - that the Miracle would not be this year, but would be next April 2000. Now, I have it directly from a friend of Conchita's that the visionary told her that there WILL BE FEW people in Garabandal at the time of the miracle (I was told this in Garabandal). The visionary also told this woman that there will be MUCH BLOODSHED IN SPAIN BEFORE the miracle. Does anybody have any insight on just how this would come about? I am aware of the Basque situation. Is there anything else? - Roger
